I had a lovely holiday. Clare was very welcoming and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Glyn the painting tutor was really supportive and helped me make progress. Good food, good company and nice accommodation with extra activities, I swam in the pool and tried archery !

I had the most wonderful painting holiday. The owner Clare could not have been more kind and helpful and Glyn our art tutor was excellent and inspiring. We painted outside several times, but also had a large bright studio in which to work. Big garden, swimming pool. Fabulous – Do book !

An excellent week. Beautiful setting and accommodation, very comfortable. The hosts were very hospitable and friendly. Very quiet location and ideal if you want a relaxing time. Really enjoyed the art tuition and especially the sites we visited to draw in the mornings. Glyn is a very good tutor.

Stayed here for 6 nights, lovely location and beautiful countryside. The accommodation was comfortable and more than adequate. Breakfast, lunch and dinner provided by our host Clare was excellent home cooked food. Swimming pool was available to us to use as the weather was very warm. Thankyou to our art tutor Glyn for his inspiration. I haven’t painted for nearly 40 years and have now rediscovered my interest in watercolours and drawing. I hope to return – Thankyou.

Its an excellent choice for those who are looking for a quiet and peaceful place. I stayed in Chez Beaumont for 8 days and I have very memorable times with the host Clare, my art teacher Glyn, and classmate Peter. Clare is very caring, generous and easy going person. She drove me from the station and took me out whenever needed. She’s also a good chef as she provided all vegetarian meals for the 8 days. I had a wonderful time during my art vacation here. There were 3 excursions, 9 lessons in 5 days and Glyn gave good teaching as well. I felt so relaxed in the big house. You are free to use the facilities provided and I just sat in the gazebo with nothing to do looking at the beautiful garden! Thankyou so much for the lovely memories. Will definitely come again if time allows.

** Bonus point added to the animals at Chez Beaumont !! There are 2 dogs, 1 cat and all are cute !! If you love animals, you can stay there for a long time just to be with them !!

Wonderful art retreat !! A great day spent at this lovely property – 20 minutes fro La Souterraine, with easy access from the Creuse, Haute Vienne and Indre departments. Art coaching (drawing, pastels, charcoals, watercolours) from excellent teacher Glyn Smith, for all levels, with all supplies provided and individualized attention. Delicious food and gracious welcome from British hosts. Well worth it !!
